We normally visit wdw in july for 2wks (from ireland), wondering how Christmas/New Year or Easter compare crowd and weather wise. Help! Trying to plan 2010 and want to visit water parks at least once during our visit. Love this panel. Many thanks

Hi, Moira!  I almost chose that name for my middle daughter's middle name!

Okay, let's start with the crowd question.  You will find the crowds at Christmas to be probably the largest crowds of any time of the year at Walt Disney World.  There are times when the theme parks - at least the Magic Kingdom - have to stop allowing additional guests in, due to the park being filled to capacity.  I'm not a big fan of park hopping, but I would rarely recommend it for Christmas time, as once you have left a park, you cannot be sure of getting in to another.

Easter is quite crowded, but not as bad as Christmas.  The advantage to Easter is that here in the states, our schools take spring break at all different times, beginning in late February, and usually continuing through April  Not every school has Easter week off, so that helps spread the spring break crowds out a bit better than the Christmas crowds.

The theme parks at Christmas are amazing, though.  I love the holiday festivities, the decorations, and the atmosphere!

Temperatures in December can be a bit unpredictable.  Average high temperatures are in the low 70s, and average lows are in the low 50s.  I have, however, been in Orlando in December and needed a heavy jacket.  Check the weather before you go, and plan to hit the water parks on the warmest days.

Thanks so much for visiting the panel, and I wish you happy planning and a wonderful holiday!
