Ahoy, Susan! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question. I’m so glad you asked, because specialty coffees and desserts are two of my favorite topics when talking about Disney Cruise Line, especially aboard the gorgeous
Disney Wish!
If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll definitely want to stop by
Cove Café. On the Wish, it’s beautifully themed to Moana and makes the perfect spot to relax. I often wander in after my morning run for a little treat (I'm also am a fan of the Wishing Star Cafe on Deck 4 by the main staircase). They offer non-dairy milk options for specialty drinks, and on my past sailings I’ve seen soy, almond, and oat milk available. My personal go-to is the Turmeric Latte, but honestly, the best part might be when the barista offers to print a Disney character right on top of your latte foam. Since options can vary by sailing and supply, I recommend confirming with the barista when you board.
When it comes to dining,
Disney Cruise Line is wonderfully accommodating for guests with dietary needs. In the
rotational dining room restaurants, you can request lactose-free, soy, rice, oat, or plain almond milk at no extra charge. Non-dairy ice cream or sorbet is often available in the main dining rooms (sometimes soy-based, sometimes coconut-based) and they also have a selection of vegan-friendly ice creams at
Inside Out: Joyful Sweets. These coconut milk-based flavors are delicious, and while they’re an upcharge, I’ve found the quality and variety to be worth it.
My biggest tip is to let your dining team know your preferences on embarkation day. You can also speak directly with the head server to ensure your special requests, like a non-dairy sundae or a vegan dessert, are arranged in advance. For example, when I sailed with a vegan friend, our servers even arranged a special dessert for her at Castaway Cay, simply because she pre-ordered it the night before.
I hope this helps you plan your coffee breaks and sweet treats, Susan! Wishing you a magical voyage!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
