Welcome to planDisney, Lucy!
We're so glad you sailed by to "sea" us today. Your upcoming sailing is on the horizon, and I couldn't be more excited for you! Let's hoist the sails and make sure you're prepared.
Guests can typically prepay gratuities up to 3 days before their sail date by logging in to the Disney Cruise Line website, hovering over "Already Booked" on the menu bar header, and clicking "My Reservations." My family is booked on the
Disney Fantasy next year, so I just walked through the process to confirm instructions. I noted a box for Pre-Paid Gratuities toward the bottom of my screen (below the balance due, online check-in, stateroom, and dining details) with a blue link to "Add Pre-Paid Gratuities."
However, when I signed on to the
UK-friendly website, I got an error message that wouldn't allow me to confirm what you might be seeing on your end. Upon further research, I learned that
"Walt Disney Travel Company International guests are unable to apply pre-payment of gratuities to your account ahead of your cruise." I know this is likely not the answer you hoped to hear, but not to worry! The recommended gratuity for your stateroom host and dining room service team (server, head server, and assistant server) will be added to your onboard account once you're on the ship. These amounts are billed as a set price per guest per night of sailing, but can be adjusted with
Guest Services. I'd also like to mention that an automatic 18% gratuity will be added to your folio for spa services and bar, beverage, wine, and deck service tabs. You can
keep track of your onboard charges right from the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
I'm sorry I didn't have a more helpful answer to share today, Lucy, but I'm wishing you plenty of magic and special moments on your voyage. If you have any additional questions as you count down these final few weeks, please come back and let us know. We're always all hands on deck!
Bon voyage,
Amy
