Hi Brianna, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I’m happy to help clarify the
Magic Key no-show policy and offer a few tips along the way.
As you may know,
Magic Key holders who make a theme park reservation must either use the pass to scan into a park or cancel the reservation by 11:59 PM Pacific Time the day before. If that doesn’t happen, it’s considered a no-show. While your existing reservations won’t be canceled, receiving three no-shows within a 90-day window will place your Magic Key in a 30-day reservation restriction. During that time, you won’t be able to make new theme park reservations or modify existing ones.
One detail that’s helpful to keep in mind is that the 90-day period for tracking no-shows is a rolling window. So even while in a restricted period, if another no-show occurs and you’ve had two others within the last 90 days, the 30-day restriction can reset. No-show marks remain on your account for a full 90 days before they roll off, whether or not your Magic Key is currently in a restricted period. The no-show policy is subject to change, so it’s a good idea to check the
Magic Key Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Brianna, I know how quickly plans can shift. Life happens, and sometimes theme park days don’t go quite as planned. I’ve had my share of last-minute changes too. One thing that’s helped me is setting calendar reminders when I book my park reservations. That little nudge gives me the time I need to cancel if something unexpected pops up.
If you have any other questions about your Magic Key or want help making the most of your next visit to the Disneyland Resort, we hope you’ll stop by again here at planDisney.
Until your next Disneyland daydream becomes reality, keep wishing,
David
