Ahoy Diane!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am happy to hear that you are planning to sail with Captain Mickey! There are so many reasons to
choose a Disney Cruise Line vacation, the most important to me is that there is something for everyone onboard.
Many guests, myself included, like to relax and unwind when they are traveling. For the adult crowd, sometimes this includes a tropical concoction and some
pool time! Disney Cruise Line has a unique
alcohol policy that allows guests to carry a limited quantity of wine, champagne or beer onboard so you can enjoy your favorite adult beverage while you sail away. This policy does have some limitations, including that you may only bring one of those three types of alcoholic beverages onboard and that you must consume what you bring onboard in your stateroom or in the
rotational dining rooms (wine and champagne only). Even Captain Jack Sparrow himself cannot bring his own rum onboard to enjoy during his high seas adventures!
If you
purchase rum while in port, you can bring it onboard but it will be checked by the crew when you return to the ship and available for you to pick up on your debarkation day. If you would like to order a drink that includes rum, you can find many "rummy" drink options in the bars,
nightclubs and lounges throughout your sailing. There is even a
rum tasting event onboard, which my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed!
Cheers to you, Diane, as you plan your adventure on the high seas! Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions as you sail toward your magical vacation!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
