7 nite EC Fantasy cruise! Trying Fish Extenders. I heard that many folks give food as gifts. Planning to do this, but can I legally bring food on the ship? Is it OK to have this food in my luggage that came directly from airport as Disney transports it?

Welcome back, Christiane! I think your family will have a lot of fun participating in the Fish Extender exchange! My family has done this quite a few times and the kids, especially, really get a kick out of coming back to our stateroom and finding the surprises that are waiting in their Fish Extender pockets. It adds that much more magic to what is already a magical cruise!

Food that is brought onto the ship, whether in your carry-on, or in your checked luggage, must be pre-packaged, non-perishable type food. Little pre-packaged boxes of local chocolates, or pre-packaged local snacks or candy are absolutely fine. You just can't bake homemade cookies or something like that and bring them on. I hope that makes sense, Christiane!

Have fun planning for your cruise and your gift exchange!
