I have a nine-year-old who often orders off the adult menu at restaurants. With the dining plan, will he be required to order from the kids' menu?

    Hi Terry,

I love adventurous dining and the Walt Disney World Resorts are a great place to try new foods. My daughter just tried bison from the California Grill and discovered her love of fish dining in Disney.

The Disney Dining Plan is linked to your park ticket. If a guest has an adult ticket, they can order an adult meal. If they have a child's ticket, they can order a child's meal. There is no flexibility with this portion of the dining plan. At counter service restaurants, you could easily swap meals with your son as long an adult will eat the child's meal. I often eat the children's meal from counter service restaurants.

If you purchase your son an adult park ticket, he would be eligible for adult meals on the dining plan. Your other option is to purchase a child's ticket without the dining option for your entire group. With the dining plan, everyone on your room reservation must be on the same dining option.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
