3 night vacation on Disney Dream in Oct. We want to experience the beautiful 3 main dining rooms but are not gourmet eaters.. I was told that you can ask for more basic items, (Etc, steak or grilled chicken, baked potatoes, caesar salad) instead?

Hi again, Alicia! You are right, you do not want to miss experiencing dining in Animator's Palate, Enchanted Garden, and Royal Palace when you set sail on the Dream next month. Each of these three restaurants is incredibly unique and offers a different menu for guests.

One of the perks of sailing with Disney Cruise Line is that your family will get to try all sorts of new foods that you wouldn't normally try back home. For us, there is no way that at home, I'm letting my kids order some exotic sounding dish at a restaurant if I'm afraid they won't like it. That's too hard on the pocketbook! But, at sea, we let them try, and actually encourage them to try all sorts of new and unique foods. My husband and I love to do so as well. If we find it's not our favorite, our servers are always happy to take it and let us order something else instead, no charge! So, I do encourage you to branch out and use this opportunity to try some new flavors! However, if you find that you'd much prefer something a bit more basic, your servers will certainly be happy to work with you to provide that. If a certain chicken and sauce dish is offered, but you'd prefer it plain, they can do that, for example. Or, if you see three appetizers that sound good, but the main courses aren't up your alley, go ahead and order three appetizers instead! This is your cruise, Alicia!

Have a wonderful time as you continue to plan over this next month, and happy dining onboard!
