We are there the night early but booked the dining plan on the original dates before adding the night before. DO we have to check into our second hotel before dining or since we are already on property will I be able to go to meal directly?

Hey, Katie! This is a great question, so thanks for stopping by to chat with us! I have actually had this same experience a few times, so I have some great information to share with you. I often book our Disney Resort Hotel room before booking our airfare. Once those airline schedules are published, I find that arriving just a day early can save us quite a bit of money. My husband tends to roll his eyes over this, but hey, that is extra Dole Whip Float money to be saved!

I can certainly understand how you want to hit the ground running that second day. There really is no need to worry about the transfer from one Disney Resort Hotel to another on that day. However, you will need to complete Online Resort Check-In for that second part of your stay if you would like to just get your day started in the parks rather than first visit that second resort. As long as you do complete Online Resort Check-In, store a valid credit card, and provide all of the requested information, then the system will automagically check you in that morning. All components of that Disney Resort Vacation Package, including your Disney Dining Plan, will then become active that morning.

Before leaving your first resort, be sure to pack everything and take your luggage to Bell Services. Provide them with your second resort stay's information and they will handle the transfer for you. In my experience, my luggage has found its way to that second resort by that afternoon. You will receive a text or email notification when your new room is ready. You can also keep an eye on your resort stay in the My Disney Experience mobile app to see when your room has been assigned.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
