Welcome aboard, Karen! Your first Disney cruise will be so magical with brand new experiences on the ship and in the ports of call!
If you haven't already, be sure to log into your reservation to book any "must-do's" on your list! I highly recommend the Princess Gathering if you're able to snag tickets to that. Four or five princesses gather in the atrium to greet guests. I have such wonderful memories of my daughter at her very first princess gathering! Seeing her twirl with Cinderella, sit down next to Ariel to chat about Flounder's silliness, and discuss in very serious tones the lack of spinning wheels in the kingdom with Aurora, is something we'll always remember!
Do not miss the nightly Broadway-style shows! If you arrive early for
The Golden Mickeys and stand near the large wall mural of Walt Disney between the gift shops, you and your family can be interviewed on the red carpet as you arrive at the big show. Your interview is broadcast live on the huge screens inside the theatre for guests. Send your husband inside to watch as you take the kids to the red carpet! But, arrive early because they only interview a few groups before the show begins. My kids always think it's so special!
Of course, you can't miss the festivities on Pirate Night. Pack pirate costumes and gear for your crew to wear, as guests go all out that night! Another not-to-miss experience is
The Midship Detective Agency. This virtual experience allows guests to register as a detective and help solve mysteries. Using a map, you'll explore the ship to find the enchanted artwork which magically comes to life, giving clues to solve your mystery! A favorite for all ages!
There's so much more, but I'm about out of space, Karen. Stop back with any other questions!
