Ahoy, Tara!
Your three-night Bahamian getaway on the
Disney Dream will be magical! My family has sailed on this majestic vessel several times and love all that it has to offer-wonderful shows, spacious accommodations, delicious cuisine, first-rate youth programming and much more.
Castaway Cay is always our favorite stop, and the memories we've created on this island oasis are priceless! From a relaxing siesta in the hammocks on the beach to a leisurely bike ride, it's a day we treasure from each one of our Bahamian and Caribbean sailings! I know your family is going to have a "Dreamy" time when it's your turn in July!
You've asked an excellent question about your upcoming voyage! Disney Cruise Line always recommends passports for their Guests although they are not required for cruises departing and returning to the same US port. Certified birth certificates are acceptable with a government issued ID or driver's license for Guests 18 or order (Guests under 18 only need the certified birth certificate). With that being said, if an unlikely emergency occurs in the Bahamas, you will need a passport to fly home to the United States. My best advice is to read over the
Passport Information page on the Disney Cruise Line website so you can make an informed decision for your crew. My family does travel with passports because we like the reassurance that we can get home if an unforeseen emergency arises.
Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tara! Please let us know if we can assist you further with your cruise plans! Enjoy counting down to your enchanted journey this summer!
