Hi. We will be going on the 5 night cruise out of miami on October 31st. My question is are there any port adventures in cozumel and grand Cayman that have been highly recommended or have had great reviews? We are 2 adults and 2 kids 5 & 8. Something d

Christine, welcome aboard! My family loves sailing the Western Caribbean itinerary with Disney Cruise Line. Those are some of our favorite ports, so I'd love to share a few of our favorite Port Adventures with you. My kids are 6 and 8, so similar to your kids' ages.

In Cozumel, we loved the Cozumel Ruins and Beach Tour. When we choose adventures, I like to include something for everyone and a bit of education and history about the port as well, so this one is perfect. First, we boarded a motorcoach for the San Gervasio Ruins. These are beautiful ruins of the Mayan culture, letting the whole family learn about how the Mayans lived and details about this ancient civilization. Even my son, at four, loved this part of the trip. After a tour and exploring on our own there, we boarded the motorcoach again to circle the entire island of Cozumel, along the coast the whole way, with beautiful views! After this trip, you can say you've driven the entire coast of the island! Our guide along the way pointed out all sorts of spots and taught us quite a bit!

Then, we arrived at the beautiful Playa Mia Beach Resort, where we enjoyed the rest of the day. I really think it's the best of both worlds on this adventure!

In Grand Cayman, we've enjoyed both the Deluxe Stingray City Sandbar and Snorkel as well as the Boatswain's Adventure Marine Park. Depending what sea creatures you love most, you might choose one or the other. Swimming with Stingrays is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I highly recommend. Both of my kids enjoyed this, though they were a bit nervous at first! We also love visiting and even getting in the tank with baby sea turtles at the marine park. Check them both out. You can't go wrong!

Have fun planning, Christine, and let me know if you have other questions before you set sail!
