We are going on a 12 night cruise in the Mediterranean in August. Can you elaborate on the dinner dress code for all of the days and any extra special days we can prepare for, i.e. pirates night, etc. Thanks!!!

Welcome aboard, Mark! I enjoyed the trip of a lifetime when I embarked on some amazing Mediterranean adventures with Disney Cruise Line! There is so much magic for you to look forward to! You'll get to experience all sorts of special dining, like special regional menus, all themed to your location in the Mediterranean!

Your 12-night Mediterranean sailing will most likely include one formal night, one semi-formal night, and ten cruise-casual nights, one of which will be Pirate Night. On formal and semi-formal nights, you'll see guests wearing anything from simple summer dresses for the women and khakis with dress shirts for the men, to those who get all dolled up in formalwear gowns and suits. So, anywhere on that scale is perfectly acceptable.
Cruise Casual is casual but still cleaned up from your fun adventures. So, no swimwear or tank tops. If you plan on dining at Palo onboard, (my favorite - I highly recommend it, especially after a day in Italy!), please read about the Palo dress code.
Now, Pirate Night is a really fun night! Guests will each receive a Mickey pirate bandana to wear, but many guests go all out that night in their swashbuckling best. Some bring full pirate costumes from home, purchase them on the ship, or simply add a few extra buccaneer accessories to their cruise casual attire. There are plenty of options to purchase that night onboard, but if you have the luggage space to toss in a few pirate accessories from home, you'll be all set!
Remember that there are guest laundry rooms onboard, so you can do a load of laundry halfway through your sailing and save some luggage space!
And don't miss the first day's sail-away celebration on deck. It's my family's favorite way to kick off our cruise vacations! Have a magical adventure, Mark!
