We are going on the 4 night Bahama cruise in September. I have been told both I need a passport and I won't. I've been told the birth certificates will work w/ a DL for my husband and I and just the birth certificates for my kids.......

    Ahoy Candace!
Welcome to the Moms Panel!  September will be here before you know it, and your family will be casting off for four fabulous nights on the Disney Dream!  There is so much to see and do from stem to stern so I hope your crew is ready for an incredible vacation experience!
Birth certificates for your children and birth certificates with your driver's licenses for you and your husband are acceptable forms of identification for your closed loop sailing (cruise beginning and ending in the same U.S. port).  Although birth certificates will work, Disney Cruise Line does recommend passports in the case an unexpected emergency since air travel from the Bahamas does require a valid passport.  My advice is to check out www.travel.state.gov to familiarize yourself with the policies so you can make the best decision for your family.
Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel, Candace!  If I can assist you further, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
