hi. my niece is visiting DisneyWorld in Feb and would like to pay for her park ticket as a christmas gift. can i buy a gift card or voucher instead of giving her cash?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Vanessa!

A ticket to the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks? What a fabulous Christmas present! You actually have three great options for providing this awesome gift for your niece.

First of all, if you know the dates of her visit, you can purchase her ticket online as a gift! You’ll receive a confirmation email with a ticket number that will allow her (or her parents if she’s under 13) to connect the ticket to her My Disney Experience account. Then, in order to activate the ticket, she will just need to present proof of purchase (like the gift receipt email) and ID at any Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park ticket window or the Disney Ticket Office at Disney Springs.

A second option would be to provide her with a Disney Gift Card and allow her (or her parents) to purchase the ticket on their own. You can pick up Disney Gift Cards at many grocery stores and national pharmacies, as well as your local big box retailer. Additionally, you can also order digital Disney gift Cards online, and the recipient will receive an email with a gift message and instructions for redeeming.

The third option may allow you to purchase the ticket yourself! I know that one of our local locations of a national grocery store chain sells actual flexible date Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park tickets on the same display where the gift cards are stored.

Hopefully one of these three options will work for you, Vanessa! Please reach out and let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you.

Until then, have a Magical day!
