My niece and I are going to do some resort hopping to look at the Christmas decorations and I can't find a schedule for the Monorail. Does anyone know if the monorail runs all night or what the hours are? Thanks

    Hello Ann,

Now that sounds like my kind of tour!  Christmas at Walt Disney World really is the most wonderful time of year, and my absolute favorite season to visit!  In fact, this was my second year in a row visiting during the holidays and both times I've made a point of stopping by some of the resorts to see them fully decked out in their Christmas finery...and maybe to sample some special sweet treats along the way.

The schedule for the monorail is pretty straightforward.  It generally runs from one hour before the earliest park opening until one hour after the latest park closing.  Just check park hours here for the date you plan to do your touring and you'll be set.  You can also find additional information on the monorail (including the Resort Monorail, which will be the one you'll take) at this link.

If you're looking for a touring plan, this unofficial site gives some great tips: www.disneytouristblog.com/disney-world-christmas-decorations-tour.  A couple of my own "must sees" along the way include the life-size gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the new 'Frozen' themed gingerbread creation at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Wishing you the happiest of holidays, Ann, and enjoy your holiday visit!
