Well hello there and welcome to planDisney!
If there's anything we can learn from the Madrigals, it's the importance of the strong relationships between Mirabel and her family members! As someone who married into a Brazilian family, I can totally understand how important it can be for you to find ways to bring the magic to your niece before she can make the journey over to Walt Disney World Resort and enjoy
the variety of Character Experiences that we have available. There's really nothing better than being the fun Duncle, or "Disney Uncle" who gets to be the best birthday hero so I've got you covered! Here are some of my personal suggestions that can help you on your quest:
By far the easiest way to make sure that you can get this done is by
paying Mirabel a visit at Fairytale Garden as she greets guests in Magic Kingdom Park this year beginning on September 15, 2023. In fact, as I write this the final preparations are underway and everyone's so excited to be able to
meet her during Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month! (Don't worry if you plan on visiting a bit later on, this character greeting is currently expected to be available year-round; just don't forget to bring along the card or item with you that you'd like to have signed!)
If you can't make it down to Walt Disney World Resort any time soon, there's another way that some lucky guests have been able to receive special signed postcards from their favorite Character friends and that is by sending a letter directly to them at the following address:
Walt Disney World Communications
P.O. Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830It's important to remember that there's no guarantee that you'll be able to receive a response, but it certainly doesn't hurt to try! (I recommend making sure that you make it clear that you'd like an autograph from Mirabel and include a self-addressed return envelope with proper postage, which may increase your chances.)
Here's hoping that you'll have the opportunity to come down and take advantage of Mirabel's upcoming meet and greet, or perhaps know someone who can request an autograph for your niece when they go! One of my favorite details is seeing how Mirabel signs her name and comparing it to the way it is embroidered onto her whimsical skirt; if you get the chance, be sure to ask her to point out any other details that she's included as a tribute to the other members of her family. In the meantime,
stay turned to the latest and greatest updates on the Disney Parks Blog and
come back to planDisney again for any other tips or advice!
Here's to wonderful Disney aunts and uncles out there - the miracle is you!
