Hi! Next visit is 13-23Sep and staying at AoA Cars. So excited, will be me, DH, DSs (2,4,7). We have tickets to MNNSHP (1st time) and would like any advice on the must do items. Are any attractions different? Are there rules to costumes? Thanks!!!!

    Hi Celeste,

I was lucky enough to stay at the brand new Art of Animation resort on opening weekend. It's amazing!

As for MNSSHP, the attractions/rides themselves are the same. If you have time to experience these during the party, great, but I wouldn't make that your priority.

In my opinion, the things are are super special about MNSSHP are the parade (the BEST Disney parade), the fireworks, the trick-or treating (even adults get to do this!), and the unique character meet and greets (some of the villain characters can only be found at the party).

As for costumes, there are a few rules. You must keep everything G or PG rated, so nothing offensive or obscene. You can't have a mask that would obstruct your ability to see. You can't have anything that drags on the ground. And you can't wear a costume that depicts a Disney character so accurately that you might be mistaken for an official character by other park guests. When you buy your MNSSHP tickets, all the rules are attached.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
