Giraffe at Kilimanjaro Safari

    On our next trip, we'll be staying at All Star Movies Resort. Can we go to AKL to go on the after dark safari, or do you have to be an AKL guest? Thank you!

    Jambo, Denise! Welcome to planDisney, we are so excited you want to immerse yourself in the gorgeous savannas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge-Kidani Village and take a trek on the Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! You are in for a wild time!

    Denise, the Starlight Safari is open to ALL guests at Walt Disney World Resort, whether you are a guest staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge or not, which means you can absolutely make reservations for yourself and members of your travel party! Please note that this safari is approximately one hour, and you will need to take Disney transportation or ride-share service to Animal Kingdom Lodge-Kidani Village. If you plan on using the bus system, I suggest taking the bus from your resort to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, then the bus to Kidani Village. Give yourself a 1-2 hour window for travel, just to be safe on time. If you are up for it, make it an evening at the Lodge with a reservation at Sanaa! You will be able to start your safari with a wonderful view of the savanna before the sun sets, and indulge in the delicious Indian-style Bread Service have a wonderful meal before your trek into the Savanna!
