Hi Michael!
So great to see you back at planDisney with another question. While I'm more of a "surf" kind of girl (don't tell Ariel, Flounder, or Sebastian) my husband and son have tackled the "turf" portion of the menus at many
Walt Disney World Resort dining locations. I'd be happy to herd you toward their top recommendations. I promise I'd never steer you wrong!
The first location that comes to mind is
Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. My family dined there last November and my husband devoured his steak
almost faster than I could snap an Instagram-worthy photo. He opted for the 10oz New York Strip Steak which came with a choice of side and sauce. If "me-moo-ry" serves, he chose their Signature sauce, but you can also get a flight of all their delicious sauce options if you aren't able to decide. I'd also recommend the French Onion Soup and the 15-layer Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake to round out your meal. Both were udder-ly delightful!
We also really enjoyed our meal at
Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. My son inhaled his Sirloin Steak from the kid's menu, while my husband chose the Guava-barbecued Short Ribs. I know short ribs aren't the traditional fork-and-knife steak you're asking about, but I have a feeling this tender beef dish accompanied by cheddar grits and brussels sprouts will have you saying "Cow-abunga!" Make sure you seize every "moo-ment" and order the Truffle Macaroni & Cheese from the Enhancements menu here as well. I still dream about it, no bull.
We'll be heading down for a weekend trip at the end of the month and are looking forward to dinner at
Flying Fish at Disney's BoardWalk. My husband already has his eye on the Filet Mignon which is served with herbed risotto, mushrooms, and broccolini. Just across Crescent Lake at Disney's Yacht Club Resort is
Yachtsman Steakhouse, where
my fellow panelist Amy A.'s husband enjoyed a selection from the Butcher's Cuts portion of the menu.
And of course, no list would be complete without a recommendation for
Le Cellier Steakhouse at EPCOT. Tucked in the Canada Pavilion, a meal at this restaurant will make transport you to a chateau, perfect for a romantic date night or special celebration. I haven't dined there yet but I'm already planning to add the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup and Maple Crème Brûlée to whatever entrée I decide on. I already have a feeling I'll be thinking about this meal 'til the cows come home!
Michael, I hope you grab the bull by the horns and enjoy a fantastic meal on your next visit. If you need any additional recommendations please don't hesitate to "moo-ve" right on back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
