On our next trip to DW we were planning on staying at the Polynesian but since we will be visiting in Dec we are hoping for a very Christmasy feel, would you recommend the Wilderness Lodge over the Polynesian in this situation? Thanks!

Christmas time at Walt Disney World is one of the most beautiful times to visit and choosing the right resort for you and your family is definitely an important step in making your stay memorable.

While Disney's Polynesian Resort does decorate for the holidays, it incorporates the usage of its native traditions and foliage in its decor.  Upon visiting you won't see a large traditional Christmas tree but instead  tropical flowers, plants, fruits and bright color schemes decorate smaller trees and every nook and cranny throughout this tropic getaway. Disney's Polynesian Resort is a great place for those who want a warm getaway during the holidays with just enough Christmas decor for them to enjoy the holidays.

If you are looking for a more traditional Christmas then Disney's Wilderness Lodge will deliver. The lobby is home to several Christmas trees, one large one that takes center stage, filled with the rustic decor that makes Disney's Wilderness Lodge a favorite for so many.  It will not disappoint you if you are looking for the cozy comfort of a home a way from home Christmas.  Fireplaces, rocking chairs, and the view will warm you hearts and give you that nostalgic Christmassy feel I think you are looking for.

Enjoy your time at Walt Disney World during this most magical time and look into some of the other extras they do during this time, it is sure to be a memorable visit.

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
