Our next trip will be on the BDP. The last time we went we waited a long time at each restaurant even though we had reservations. The food was great but we missed out on park time. Do you have any suggestions of how to avoid this wait.

    Hi Mary,

The Disney Dining Plan allows you 1 table service, 1 quick service and 1 snack per day which is fantastic but as you say can cut into your park time. The way I get around this is to book my meals at "off" times or for the very first reservation. Mainly you need to avoid the classic lunch time hours of 12 - 2pm and the popular dinner time 6 - 8pm. You may still have to wait for your table to be ready but it will be significantly less than at the popular times.

My family will typically eat a very light breakfast so we'll be ready for our lunch at 11.30am and we generally eat our dinner at about 5pm, the longest we've ever had to wait for our table was 10 minutes. This early dinner also has the benefit that it guarantees we'll be able to view the fireworks shows afterwards.

Having a late lunch is also a good idea, anything after 3pm should be fine, it's also a great way to get out of the Florida heat!

Hope that helps reduce your wait and you have some delicious meals,

    Jo
