Welcome to planDisney, Tammy! I'm so excited to share ideas on how to add pixie dust to your family's Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I may not know exactly what your teenage princess is into, but I'll try to steer you in a direction to help you decide on a memorable activity for her...and maybe your whole family!
It sounds like your young prince is a Star Wars fan, so I have a good feeling about his lightsaber-building experience at
Savi's Workshop at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If your daughter is also strong in the Force, she might enjoy creating a droid at
Droid Depot.
If she has an artistic spirit, she might like the
Colors of Coronado Painting Experience at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. You don't have to be a guest of that hotel to participate, and I think this would be a fabulous mother/daughter activity. You'll both come home with a gorgeous Disney-themed piece of art you created!
I also saw an incredible keepsake on Main Street, U.S.A., at
Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers. Guests can create sparkling souvenirs using color combinations of their choice. I'd love to fill a glass slipper with colorful crystal beads on my next visit; maybe I'll see you there!
My teenager values experiences over things, so he would appreciate tours like the
Wild Africa Trek or
Caring for Giants at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. One of my favorite "backstage" tours was
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom Park. If your daughter is interested in conservation and the environment, you might consider booking the
Behind the Seeds tour at EPCOT.
You can learn more about these activities by perusing all the offerings in the
Enchanting Extras Collection. You'll find everything from cake decorating to horseback riding! Most can be
booked 60 days in advance for the length of your Disney Resort hotel stay, and they typically fill up quickly. I'm wishing on a star you find a fabulous way to celebrate your daughter!
Tammy, I hope you make magical memories on your trip. Please stop by

Magic awaits,
