For our next Disney trip, we are planning to stay at one of the Disney resorts. We don't want to have to rely on only bus transportation, so we are considering either the Boardwalk, Polynesian or GF. We have a 6 yr old & a 4 yr. old, any advice on whic

No matter where you stay on WDW property, if you're going to be using Disney transportation, you're going to have to get on a bus once in a while. For example, buses are the only Disney means of transport to the Animal Kingdom. But you're right that many of the WDW hotels do have a variety of transportation methods available.

From the Boardwalk you could walk or boat to Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios. And from the Polynesian or Grand Floridian, you could monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom and monorail to Epcot. These are all beautiful hotels with deluxe amenities and lots of ways to get around.

As a first step in deciding where to stay, I would consider where you'll be spending most of your park touring time. If you've decided that you will be spending the bulk of your time at the Magic Kingdom, then you should choose one of the monorail hotels. If your time will be evenly distributed among the parks, then perhaps the Boardwalk would make most sense. Another factor to consider would be the themeing. The Grand Floridian has casual elegance, the Polynesian is a Pacific retreat, and the Boardwalk is, well, a boardwalk. Also, an item to consider is your dining style. My oldest daughter loves to try all the international foods at Epcot, so we end up having dinner there often. If this style suits your family, then the Boardwalk might be a better choice for you. Truly, you can't go wrong with any of these wonderful hotels.

Hope you have a great trip.
