Welcome back aboard planDisney, Stacy!
I am excited to hear you will be sailing away with Captain Mickey next year.
Port Canaveral is my favorite port to cruise from, as it typically means I can sneak a little bit of extra pixie dust with a quick visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
You can add
ground transportation from either a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or Orlando International Airport (if you are staying at the Hyatt) for an additional fee. I have found this is the easiest way to get to port. Disney Cruise Line will provide instructions on where to meet your motor coach. Then, just sit back and start your adventure watching Disney films until you arrive at the cruise terminal! You can
contact Disney Cruise Line to add transportation directly to your cruise reservation.
My family will always fly into Orlando the day before we set sail, so that if we run into any delays, we won't miss our magic carpet to the port. If our flight arrives early in the day, we prefer to spend the night at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Our favorite resort to call home the night before our cruise is
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The Big Blue Pool is a great place to relax before heading out to sea! Jump over to Disney Springs for dinner and a night out for a great way to start your vacation!
If you are flying in the day before your cruise, but not arriving until the evening, the Hyatt is a great option to rest your head for the night with easy access to Disney Cruise Line transportation in the morning. I hope I have steered you in the right direction, Stacy! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any additional questions before your high seas adventure!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
