Hi! The news of Fantasmic returning at the end of November makes us all super excited. In the past what time has the show “typically” been? We have dinner reservations at 840pm and I’m worried we will have to give those up.

    Heather,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

There is no official word on what the new show time will be when Fantasmic! returns, but before the show temporarily closed, show times in early December were at 8:00 pm. Typically the show runs for about 25-30 minutes, so making an 8:40 pm dining reservation is possible, but it could be a close shave.

It really depends on where your reservations might be, as to whether you will be able to keep them. If you have a reservation within Disney's Hollywood Studios, you probably would be OK, as long as you make a quick move to the exits. While not official, Disney often has held my reservation for up to 15 minutes. Within the park they are very much aware of major show times like this one, so you should be OK. However, if you are dining outside of the park, it is really out of the question. You would never make it elsewhere in time.

    BONUS TIP
Keep an eye out for a possible Fantasmic! Dining Package that would combine a reservation at one of the park restaurants with reserved seating at the show. This could be a nice way to get both times secured. The Disney Parks Blog is likely the first place where you would see this kind of package announced.

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow up questions.
