I am a newer DVC member. I've used my points for 2 trips so far. I have another trip planned for the summer that includes extended family. I'm wondering if any of you have favorite things to do with a larger party? Maybe a memorable grand gathering?

    Hi Jen,

Welcome to DVC as I am a member too and have used my points to book vacations with my extendd family as well!

One of my favorite memories with my family always revolve around food.  The Hoop Dee Doo Revue holds a special place in my heart but I do not want to tell you exactly what it is or I would ruin the surprise. (A hint: Grandpa and tutu.)

The Whispering Canyon always is a fun place to go with a group as well.  However, try these free things:  Have everyone try on a different hat in the countries in EPCOT or make a mask and compare or see who can find the most hidden Mickeys or take their pictures with the most characters.

Remember too much together time may not work.  Decide ahead of time what the expecations are for spending time together.  In my family, I usually set the schedule and dining reservations for the group with the understanding we will all eat dinner together every night.  We may split up during the day but at least we touchbase at night.

If you are more than 8, remember to use Grand Gatherings and Advance Dining Reservations is a must for table service meals.

    Enjoy the memories!
