Hi Moms, we have a new years vacation booked with a meal at The Crystal Palace at 6:05PM on Friday 1st January. How early should we consider getting into the park to ensure we do not get refused entry if the park gets full?

Hi, Michael!  You are so right to be planning this now, as the holidays at Walt Disney World can get very, very busy.

Because there are usually a lot of late night revelers on New Year's Eve, I generally find people are a bit slower to get started in the morning on the first day of the New Year.  I'm the opposite - I love waking up early to welcome the brand new year bright and early!  I would say, though, if you are one of those late night revelers, as long as you make it to the Magic Kingdom by about 10 A.M., you should still be okay.  I can't make any guarantees, but in recent years, we have arrived as late as 11 and still been given access to the park.

I would say this is not the day to push your luck.  If you can get there by late morning, you probably still have a good chance of admission into the park.

Good luck, and enjoy a wonderful holiday!
