Hey there Clinton,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! I'm happy to hear that you're planning on spending New Year's Eve at the Happiest Place on Earth!
There haven't been any official announcements at this point about the details for this year's festivities, so I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more of those news items as we get closer to the end of the year.
Additionally, the
Hours & Events Calendar is the best place to look for the official schedule of things like park hours, entertainment, and planned closures on specific dates. This calendar is available about six weeks out from the current date, so this would be another one you'll want to check back on a bit closer to your trip.
From what I've seen in prior years, New Year's Eve is typically pretty busy in the parks with many attending to enjoy the celebration. The parks are usually open later than normal - sometimes as late as 1:00 - 2:00 AM. There have also been some really great photo opportunities, free party hats, and more. It sounds like a really fun time to visit! You'll also have the opportunity to enjoy all the other festivities that come with the
Holiday season at the Disneyland Resort.
If you're visiting with a child, then I'd make sure to plan for when you want to arrive and leave by (if there will be an earlier bedtime), and I would highly recommend purchasing the
Park Hopper option for your park tickets so you can hop between parks starting at 11:00 AM that day.
It will be such a fun way to celebrate the end of 2024! Thanks again for your question, Clinton, and enjoy your visit.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
