Ahoy, Alisha!
I'm always excited to help a fellow Georgian with cruise plans so welcome aboard! The sailing you've booked on the Disney Dream sounds just spectacular! 2018 will be off to a pixie-dusted start since you'll be ringing in the new year on the most magical cruise line on the high seas. All Disney Cruise Line vacations are wonderful, but the Cast and Crew like to go the extra (nautical) mile to make holiday sailings very special and filled with magical moments.
Your 4-night sailing will include some pirate festivities, which should not conflict with the New Year's Eve plans. In the past, Pirate Night has landed on Day Two, so I would go ahead and plan to pack your eye patch and hook and be ready to enjoy some swashbucklin' fun onboard.
On the 31st, you'll want to don your formal attire (this is an optional dress up night) for a meal fit for Disney royalty in the main dining rooms. Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto will all look dapper while Minnie and Daisy will be glammed up for the celebration. The Cruise Staff usually plans an early countdown for families with young children who may not make it to midnight. But for those who want to party the night away, a rockin' New Year's Eve Deck Party with fireworks over the ocean and live music is typically on the menu of events. The youth spaces also host fun parties for parents who want to enjoy the adult-only activities planned for this evening.
Alisha, I know your
New Year's Eve cruise is going to be fantastic! Please let us know if you have any other questions about your sailing. We are always happy to help.
Enjoy "Dream"ing!
Nancy
