Welcome to planDisney, Daniel! Thank you for visiting us and sharing your question about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I'm so excited for you to ring in the New Year in the 'Most Magical Place on Earth!'
I have wonderful news for you, Daniel! New Year's Eve is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and there are going to be so many wonderful
entertainment offerings for you to enjoy. First, you should know that the four theme parks will have different operating hours that day, so check the
Hours & Events Calendar as you approach your visit dates, since these are subject to change. Depending on which theme parks you opt to visit on December 31, you'll have your choice of fabulous live entertainment and nighttime spectaculars and all you need is your regular admission to enjoy them. There are currently no special events scheduled that would require a separate ticket!
There's simply nothing more iconic than watching the night sky above Cinderella Castle lit up by
fireworks as you look forward to the next year. At
Magic Kingdom Park, Guests will be able to view Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks at two showtimes on New Year's Eve (currently scheduled at 6:50 PM and 11:50 PM). This is a really nice option for families with little ones (like mine) who usually can't make it to the late-night showtime. Over at
EPCOT, there is a special showing of Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration right before the clock strikes midnight, in addition to the regularly scheduled
Luminous The Symphony of Us nighttime spectacular. If you're looking for something special to celebrate the holiday during your visit, I would suggest prioritizing one of these entertainment offerings!
I hope this has been helpful, Daniel! If we can help with anything else in the meantime, I hope you'll come back and visit us here at
planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Magically yours,
Tishra
