Welcome back to planDisney, Tonya! I'm glad you trust us with your Disney vacation planning questions! We are a group of guests who have so much experience (and fun!) planning our own trips to Disney destinations that we spend our free time helping others do the same!
The official word given to us by Disney states that guests boarding
Disney Resort hotel buses and the
Sassagoula River Cruise from
Disney Springs will be asked to show a valid
Disney Resort hotel room key or proof of a dining or experience reservation. While I have read from several sources that
Shades of Green will be included, I have not gotten official confirmation of this yet. Since Shades of Green is not
owned or operated by The Walt Disney Company, and they have their own bus system, I would say that it is possible that guests staying there are not considered to be guests of a Disney Resort hotel. Put simply: I don't yet know for sure.
This is a very recent update to
Disney Resort transportation, and I believe we'll know much more in the coming days and weeks. Policies are subject to change, and they often do. I would check back as your travel dates get closer.
Your trip is during one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World!
Disney Parks Blog recently posted all about what we can expect this holiday season! I'm a huge fan of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but I'm excited to try
Disney Jollywood Nights this year!
I'm sorry I don't have more concrete information for you right now, Tonya. I'm still convinced that you are going to have a wonderful time at The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any more questions, I hope you'll come back and see us here at
planDisney!
