Welcome to planDisney, Amy! I’m so glad you stopped by with this question. A
springtime visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is truly one of the most delightful times to go. The weather is usually just right, everything looks bright and fresh, and the parks feel extra cheerful. It’s such a wonderful time to slow down, enjoy the outdoor attractions, and take in all the beautiful details around the resorts and parks.
Plus,
EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full bloom, bringing stunning character topiaries, colorful gardens, and tasty seasonal food booths and live entertainment to the park. It really adds something special to the whole experience. You’re truly visiting during a magical season, and I know you’re going to have the best time!
I love that you’re planning to use
Lightning Lane passes for your upcoming trip. They really are a total game changer when it comes to making the most of your park time. And you’re right, they can feel a little confusing at first, but don’t worry…I’ve got you covered and I’m happy to help make everything practically perfect in every way!
If you’re planning to purchase your Lightning Lane passes separately, I recommend both of you logging into your My Disney Experience accounts right at 7:00 AM Eastern Time when your booking window opens…that’s 7 days before check-in for Disney Resort guests and 3 days before your park visit for all other guests. Popular attractions can book up quickly, so being ready right at opening gives you the best chance of snagging great return times. As you book, aim for the same or overlapping windows so you can enjoy the rides together. This is the best option when completing separate transactions.
Another easy approach is to have one person handle all the Lightning Lane selections for the group and then settle up afterward. This guarantees everyone’s return times line up perfectly and removes the stress of coordinating bookings. If you choose this route, just make sure everyone is connected through the
Family & Friends List in the
My Disney Experience app so all tickets can be managed together.
Amy, I hope this helps and that you have an absolutely wonderful trip! If any other questions come up along the way, you’re always welcome here at planDisney.
Magical Wishes,
Kami
