Hello! New are seriously considering taking our kiddos (g8, g7, g4, b2) to Disney for Christmas. We've only been once during down season. What week is best to go during the Christmas season so it's not so crowded? Is it better to do all parks or just 1?

    Hi Liz,

Disney at Christmas can be magical as well as crowded and expensive. I have visited twice during the week between Christmas and New Years and would not recommend it to any guest who has not visited at least five times prior. I say this because you will not be able to ride all the attractions you want and you could be disappointed because of the crowds.

If you can go to Disney in 2014 prior to December 21, you will see reduced crowds but all of the magic of the season. After the 21, the parks will be crowded all the way through January 3 because many schools will be out of session.

As for seeing all the parks or just one, every park is special during this time of the year. I would recommend staying at one park each day and not park hop. This allows you to see all the extra magic that park has to offer plus it will save some money.

If you do decide to go, make sure to tell your children they each have three attractions or shows you will promise them to see and then everything else is sprinkles. Also, make sure you have dining reservations for your table service meals.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
