Hello Capella!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so glad you've returned to ask a great question about your visit this Winter. It's my pleasure to be able to help you out today.
It truly is a whole new world at the
Walt Disney World Resort these days. During the park opening capacity will be limited at the theme parks and Resort hotels. Currently Disney is not selling new tickets for 2020 until later this year. New Disney Resort hotel reservations for the rest of the year 2020 have also been paused. While I can hope they will open up for your December visit, I can not guarantee it. If I were in your shoes, I would try to make alternate plans. The
Disney Springs Resort area hotels offer you many of the same perks as staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. I personally have stayed at both the
Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace and the
B Resort & Spa Lake Buena Vista. These Resorts were lovely and offered shuttles to the Disney Theme Parks, as well as access to
Extra Magic Hours (which are currently paused). This may be an option for you to look into for your family.
Since you have your tickets purchased already, I would link them to your
My Disney Experience account. From that point, you can access the
Disney Parks Pass system and reserve park reservations for your trip. You must make park reservations for each day of your trip that you plan on visiting a theme park. You can find this handy
availability calendar helpful as you make reservations. I have used it for a trip I have planned for next year and it was a great help. Capella, please also keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog. Should Disney Resort hotel reservations open up for later this year, this would be the first place to announce the news. I often check the Blog each morning as I sip my coffee, it's nice to start my day with a little dose of pixie-dust.
I hope this has helped guide you in the right direction as you plan your trip. I know you are as excited about
Returning to the Magic as I am. If any other questions or concerns pop up as you plan, please visit us again. All the Disney Parks Moms Panelists love to lend a helping hand every chance we get.
Dream as Dreamers Do,
Jen
