We are new DVC owners and We are having a family reunion the first week of November. A couple people are interested in canvas painting. Is there still classes available and where!? I can’t find them in the search engines, thanks for having this blog!

    Hi Suzi!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There is a palette-full of choices when it comes to art classes at Walt Disney World Resort, and I’m happy to “paint” you in the right direction!

As a Disney Vacation Club Member, you have a couple of different options. I recommend Painting With a View at the Top of the World Lounge! The class is most Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons. If your budding artists are into animation, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge hosts an Animation 101 Workshop on Thursday afternoons. Bonus - you can take home the flip-book you create during the class! Disney’s Wilderness Lodge also has a Phone Photography Workshop as well as a Cake Decorating Workshop. Both of which I am sure the artists in your group would enjoy.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort hosts Painting in the Vineyard on Friday afternoons, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter has Painting on de’ Bayou Wednesday evening. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has a fantastic animation class that is usually on weekday afternoons. My fellow panelist Ashley, has a list of additional selections here. Remember, times and prices are always subject to change.

I hope this helps you sketch out your options. Please come back with any additional questions, and enjoy your vacation!
