Hi Marie!
Congratulations on becoming new Disney Vacation Club Members! Let me be one of the first to wish you a warm, “Welcome Home!” October is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort with lower crowds, moderate temperatures and the popular
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival in full swing.
Members may stay up to 30 continuous nights on a single reservation. The issue you are running into is that you may be trying to book exactly at the 11 or 7 month booking window. When you are booking at exactly the first day possible, you can only book up to a maximum of seven nights. You can call back the following day to add the eighth night, then the ninth, then so on. If you were a week into the 7 month booking window, you would be able to book the second full week. Depending on how popular the resort and time of year is, would depend on if I would recommend booking one day at a time, or waiting a week and booking the second week. Autumn has more moderate crowds overall, but with Disney Vacation Club Members it is a popular time to travel. If you have your heart set on a particular resort I would call and add each night one night at a time.
Good luck getting your desired resort reservation, and I hope you have a wonderful trip this autumn! Let me know if you have other questions as your vacation approaches. I love helping new Disney Vacation Club Members get the most out of their Membership. Be sure to visit the Membership Magic tab at the top of the
DVC Member Website to view all the perks and discounts that may be useful for your upcoming vacation!
Wishing you Membership Magic!
