We are new DVC members at the Polynesian & will be staying in a Lakeview Deluxe Studio. Do we need to request to be located near the Great Ceremonial House or are all of the DVC studios near this location? Also, do these rooms face the castle?

    Hi Angela!

Congratulations on becoming new Disney Vacation Club Members! I’m so glad you stopped by to ask us your question. I just returned from a lovely stay in the Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows at the end of June. I think Members are going to love these Deluxe Studio accommodations with their innovative split bathroom design, enchanting tropical decor and amazing location.

There are three longhouses that make up Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows: Moorea, Pago Pago and Tokelau. I would not consider any of these buildings to be especially close to the Great Ceremonial House. I wouldn’t bother requesting this, as the buildings simply don’t fall into this category. You can anticipate a short five minute or so walk from any of the Disney Vacation Club longhouses to the Great Ceremonial House.

If you have booked a Lake View, you will be staying in Moorea, with a lovely view of the Seven Seas Lagoon. I would recommend requesting a higher floor, for the best view of Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom! While requests are never guaranteed, I always think it can’t hurt to ask. The Moorea building is where I stayed on my most recent visit, and I actually loved the location. Not only was it only a quick five minutes to all the amenities of the Great Ceremonial House, but I was also only a five minute walk in the other direction down the path to the Ticket & Transportation Center. From the Ticket & Transportation Center, the Monorail to Epcot was easy to access, and at the end of a busy night at Magic Kingdom, we enjoyed riding the Ferry back rather than the more crowded Monorail.

If you have additional questions as you learn to use your Membership, we are always here to help! I hope you have a truly magical vacation, and let me be one of the very first to wish you a warm Disney Vacation Club, “Welcome Home!”
