Ahoy there, Jeffrey!
Welcome home and congratulations on joining
Disney Vacation Club! The only regret my family has about becoming Disney Vacation Club members is that we didn't do it sooner. It is the most magical club to be part of, and we love all the perks that come with our membership. On your sailing, be sure to enjoy the Disney Vacation Club Member Celebration and stop by the DVC Desk for your daily complimentary gifts! You'll want to check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for all the details.
I love hearing that you'll be able to enjoy the beautiful
Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa before your cruise on the
Disney Wish for your "Welcome Home" stay. The renovations to the
Treehouse Villas look amazing, so this first visit as members will be even more special. Jeffrey, my family often starts our cruise vacations with a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and we find it very convenient to drive over to
Port Canaveral and park in the decks adjacent to the cruise terminal. The drive without traffic is usually around an hour, but we always give ourselves plenty of time in case of traffic. The best part of the drive is spotting your Disney ship for the first time. She's always the prettiest in the port. Once you pull into the terminal (there will be plenty of signage to help guide you!), you'll be able to drop your tagged luggage with the porters and make your way to the deck. We always like to have cash to tip the porters at the curb. Keep all your important
travel documentation with you, along with your port arrival form, and any
DisneyBand+ or
MagicBand+ for check-in. No reservations are needed, and you'll pay before you enter the deck. The process is very easy, and once the cruise is over, you'll be able to head home upon disembarking. Porters are available to assist you to your car if needed. To check current parking rates, visit www.portcanaveral.com.
Jeffrey, thank you for cruising over to planDisney for help with your upcoming voyage. We hope you'll keep us in mind again as you continue to plan for this magical land and sea adventure.
Have a wonderful day,
Nancy
