Hi Suzi! Welcome home, welcome back to planDisney, and congratulations! You sure do have lots to celebrate and it makes me happy to hear that you’re choosing a
Disney Cruise to celebrate your honeymoon. My wife and I had a short trip to Walt Disney World after our wedding, which we dubbed a “Minnie”-moon, while we saved up for a bigger honeymoon a couple months later.
I also saw today’s announcement regarding
the 2027 Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise and boy does it make me excited and wanting to book! Our family attended the 2023 DVC member cruise (our family’s first Disney Cruise as well) and we had a blast. As you may know, you can either pay for the Member Cruise using your Vacation Points or with cash. Unfortunately, DVC has not yet released the Point Chart and pricing information yet. I highly recommend revisiting the
landing page for the member cruise to check for updates on when pricing information will be released. As a reminder, bookings will be made by
contacting Member Services on February 28, 2026.
While pricing information is not yet available, I can tell you about my family’s experience on a previous Member Cruise to give you an idea of the sorts of unique benefits, experiences, and gifts you can expect. In 2023, Leslie Iwerks, granddaughter of Disney Legend Ub Iwerks and director of the documentary series and book both titled
The Imagineering Story hosted an informational session on the Member Cruise. In addition, we were treated to a rendition of “Part of Your World” by the one and only Jodi Benson, as well as other performance by other famed Disney film and Broadway performers starring in
Disney Princess—The Concert. We also had the voice actors for Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto aboard for a Q&A session. Although each Member Cruise has different experiences, these are certainly unique offerings that you won’t get on any normal Disney Cruise!
Suzi, that’s not all! There were tons of gifts they gave to each person on the Member Cruise. Each member of our stateroom received the following: a duffel bag, a beach tote bag, a drawstring bag, a beach blanket, a Corkcicle tumbler, a hat, a National Geographic book about the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary, a
Disney Lorcana Trading Card starter set, a Goofy plushie, a Goofy hat (Goofy was the "mascot" of that year's Member Cruise), several pins, magnets, and special artwork. When they say you better bring an empty suitcase to a Member Cruise, they really mean it!
Hopefully this should give you some insight on what makes Member Cruises so special. And once those point charts and pricing information comes out, you’ll get a better sense of which cruise works better for you and your family. As always, feel free to reach out to me and my fellow panelists here at
planDisney with any additional questions!
Your pal,
Sean
