am new DVC@ BLT-to own more home resort I would assume 2 lrg purchases-meaning I can NOT add on points as current mem. at different resort! correct? I understand why some have more then 1 home resort-but pricewise seems high cost! have 3 trips booked

    Denise,

Welcome to DVC! It is one of the best purchases my family has made, and I'm sure you will feel the same way.

You can actually add on points at any resort you choose; it does not have to be at your current home resort.  However, when you consider things like your priority booking window, you only have priority at the resort you own, with the points you own at that resort.  For example, if you add on 50 points at Saratoga Springs, you can only book those 50 points to book in the priority window.  If you are making a reservation that would require, say 100 points, you'd have to borrow from the next year in order to make the reservation 11 months out.  If you want to use points from your Bay Lake Tower contract, you'd have to wait until open booking at 7 months out.

Hope that helps, and enjoy your upcoming vacations!  There's nothing better than checking in to a DVC resort and hearing them say, "Welcome home."
