With the new Disney Starlight Parade opening this week, I was wondering, where will the accessible viewing area be for the parade, and how will this affect the accessible viewing for Happily Ever After?

    Hiya, Jack!

I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you BACK to planDisney! It's always such a joy to see returning Guests...it's like catching up with a friend!

I am SO excited about Disney's brand-new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away! Right now, Starlight is scheduled to run at 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Your strategy for finding accessible viewing will really depend on which parade time you're hoping to catch...so I'll walk you through what I plan on doing.

One key detail (and something that's great to know!) is that, unlike Festival of Fantasy, which starts in Frontierland, Starlight actually begins on Main Street, U.S.A. This makes a big difference when choosing an accessible viewing spot — especially if you're planning to see Happily Ever After the same night.

If you're planning to watch the parade at 9:00 PM, I recommend grabbing a viewing spot near City Hall. Once the parade passes through the area, you can then relocate to the designated accessible fireworks viewing area in time to catch Happily Ever After.

Now, if you're hoping to see the fireworks first (and honestly, this is the plan I'd most likely recommend), I would reverse the order. Start by watching Happily Ever After from the accessible fireworks area, and once the show ends, make your way to your preferred accessible parade viewing location.

If you'd like to be closer to the park exit for easier departure, the viewing area near City Hall is a great choice. However, if proximity to the exit isn't a concern, another great option is the accessible area near Sleepy Hollow and Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. It tends to be a little less crowded and still offers a great view of the parade route.

Also, keep in mind that the 11:00 PM parade will most likely be less crowded than the earlier one, since many families with little ones head out after the fireworks. If you're up for a later night, it could be a more relaxed and enjoyable viewing experience.

I recommend downloading the My Disney Experience app to your mobile device, as it's the best way to stay up to date during your visit. Entertainment schedules are always subject to change, and the app will show you the most accurate and current times for everything happening during your trip.

Jack, I hope this gives you a helpful starting point as you plan your trip! If you have any other questions along the way,  you're always welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical Wishes,

    Kami
