We're from the Netherlands, and we're visisting WDW in august 2008, with a party of 8. We have a disney dining plan for 7 days (4 adults, 4 children age 5 to 7). We want to make a few reservations for dining; is this possible from outside the USA?

You should definitely make some reservations for meals at Disney World. You will find that you have many more dining choices if you reserve now than if you wait until to arrive in Florida. Particularly if you'd like to have any character dining meals, dinner shows, or signature dining experiences you should reserve them as soon as possible.

I have never heard of any way to make reservations from any country other than by getting on the telephone with Disney Dining. It will obviously be a long-distance call for you, but you are welcome to call from anywhere. The number in the USA is 407-939-3463. You will have to add the appropriate country prefixes. To make things easier during your call, you should map out a plan of where you would like to eat before you speak with the reservationist. Take a look at the dining choices described on the Disney website at disneyworld.com. Another good resource for dining information at WDW is the website allearsnet.com. You should also try to find a good guidebook for Disney World. This will also help you shape your plan.

Once you get on the phone, you can spend as long as you need trying to get reservations at the restaurants you want to try. I often end up making more than one phone call as I find out what dining times are actually available during my trip.

    Hope this helps.
