Being a nervous mom: I want to take my 2 and 4 year olds on a Disney cruise. My 2 year old is "active". I am worried she will get away from us and  climb on the railings etc. How safe are the cruises for young children?

    Ahoy Victoria!
Your two year old sounds a lot like my son when we first set sail on Disney Cruise Line when he was 18 months!  I can remember many times turning around at home and finding him standing on top of furniture or even the kitchen table so I completely understand your nerves!
When we sailed on that cruise I was not worried at all about him climbing on or over the railing.  Safety is Disney Cruise Line's number one concern for Guests, and it shows with all the safety features on their fleet of ships. The railings are well above waist level and the plexiglass covering is very difficult to scale.  Even if your little one stood on a lounge chair on deck, she would not be tall enough to get herself over.  You also have the choice of an inside stateroom (even though the verandahs are very safe with child safety locks) so this won't be a concern when you are enjoying your stateroom.
If you haven't already, be sure to order the free cruise planning DVD which will give you a good idea of what to expect onboard Disney Cruise Line.  Also, as you think of more questions, please write back so I can assist you further!
