My nephew is over 9 years old and will be visiting Walt Disney World with us this summer. He is a picky eater. Can he select items from the kids meal?

    Hi there, Lisa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I'm so excited to hEAR you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort this summer.

It's my pleasure to assist you with your dining question. When dining at Walt Disney World Resort, each Guest ages 10 and over are considered "adults."  As a mom of two picky teenage boys, we have often asked if they could order a kids' menu item rather than an adult entree.  I have always found the servers at Table-Service restaurants to be very accommodating especially when it comes to kids with specific food preferences or restrictions. Although it is up to the discretion of each dining location, our preteens and teens have been allowed to order from the children's menu rather than the adult menu when they have asked. Another option is to request an adult portion of a kids' menu item. I would definitely suggest asking your server if your nephew can order a kids' menu item if he does not see anything he will eat on the adult menu.

I hope this information is helpful, Lisa. Please let us know if you have any new questions or would like dining recommendations. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!

    Bon Appétit,
