I need to come over to orlando florida in May this year I want to stay in a disney vacation resort but I have already used my points for 2015 and some of my points for 2016 (47 points left ) I can book animal jambo for 95 points can I borrow from 2017

    Hi Raymond!

It sounds like you are making great use of your Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points. My family loves the flexibility of banking and borrowing points, depending on our vacation needs. Unfortunately, since you can only borrow up to one year in advance, you would not be able to borrow points from your 2017 Use Year to be used for a stay in May of 2015.

I do have a few ideas that might help you for your upcoming stay. You can borrow and use all 47 points that are left in your 2016 Use Year. You can also purchase up to 24 "one-time-use-points" from Member Services when booking a stay. This would bring you up to 71 points. You could use these points to book some of your needed nights. You could then book the remaining nights as a cash reservation if there is availability. Sometimes cash rooms are available at a discount to Disney Vacation Club Members booking through Member Services. The discount can vary based on season, and availability is limited, but I would recommend inquiring about availability for your stay.

A second alternative would be to book a cash room reservation through the Central Reservations Office. Currently there is a room-only discount available to the general public for most nights this spring. Visit the Walt Disney World Special Offers page for more details and to check availability for your exact dates.

I hope one of these suggestions helps you to secure your desired magical room reservation for your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. Let me know if I can help you with any additional questions as you plan your trip!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
