We are needing transportation from Sanford airport to All Star movies resort. We have a 2 year old who uses a car seat. What are our options for transportation that do not require car seat and/or transportation with car seat provided? Thanks!

    Hi Kim,

Orlando Sanford International Airport is a great option to utilize when flying into Disney World. I frequent this airport because it is the only option for me if I want a direct flight to Orlando. The ride from the airport to Disney World will take about an hour depending on traffic. You have a couple of options available to you for getting from the airport to Disney's All-Star Movies Resort!

The option that I use most often and feel the safest with is Uber. You can request a ride that comes equipped with car seats. To do this, simply choose your pick up and drop off locations then scroll through the available vehicle types and select car seat. I like this option because it quickly gets you from the airport to your hotel without a lot of stops along the way. I have never had an issue with finding a car seat-equipped car in Orlando because it is a common request for travelers coming in to visit the theme parks.

If you feel nervous about the idea that there may not be a car with car seats available then you can hire a car service that will be scheduled to pick you up. The one I have used most often is Mears Luxury Transportation Services. They are easy to work with and a reliable company that has been around for a while. You can schedule a pickup and request that the car be equipped with car seats for the journey. Your ride will be waiting for you when you arrive at baggage claim and will even help you out to the car with your luggage.

If you are looking for the cheapest option, there are shuttle services offered from Sanford International Airport that go directly to Disney World. These shuttles will carry multiple passengers and make multiple stops throughout Disney World so they can take quite some time to arrive at your hotel. The shuttles do not require that your child be in a car seat and they can just ride in a regular seat. Several independent shuttle services operate between Orlando Sanford International Airport and Disney World but none of them are officially connected to Disney World or the airport.

If you arrive early and your room is not ready yet, head over to Bell Services at your hotel and they will happily hold your luggage for you so that the fun can begin immediately! If you are still tired from the trek and are looking for something relaxing, I recommend packing your bathing suits in a bag that can easily be pulled from your luggage and heading over to the Fantasia Pool while you wait for your room to be ready.

    Happy Planning
    Jenna
