I am needing to make dining reservations for our family trip in April for a party of 12. Which restaurants can handle a group this large? Can I book 2 reservations that total 12 for the same time and link so that the tables be near each other? Will it let?

    Hey there, Faith!

I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you to planDisney! How exciting that you're planning a Walt Disney World vacation with a large group. My family often travels together as a multi-generational crew as well, and our group is also around 12 people, so I know firsthand just how magical (and fun!) it can be. There's something so special about experiencing Disney through different perspectives, from the youngest members discovering the magic for the first time to the young at heart soaking in all the nostalgia. Traveling together creates endless opportunities for laughter, connection, and shared moments that turn into memories that will last a lifetime.

In my experience, many Walt Disney World restaurants are able to accommodate parties of 12 when you make your Advanced Dining Reservations, but it can sometimes be a bit challenging. I've often had better success by splitting our group into two separate reservations for the same time. When we arrive and check in, I politely let the Cast Member know that the two parties are traveling together and ask if it's possible to be seated together or near one another. While it's never guaranteed, I've found that Cast Members truly do their best to accommodate these requests whenever possible.

Keep in mind that if you're staying at a Disney Resort, you'll have the advantage of booking dining reservations for your entire stay (up to 10 nights) starting 60 days before your arrival. For all other Guests, dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance, with booking opening each day at approximately 6:00 AM.

Now comes the fun part...deciding where to make those reservations! With so many fantastic dining options across Walt Disney World Resort, it can be a tough choice. That said, my family's absolute favorite is Via Napoli in EPCOT. It's a spot we return to again and again, and it never disappoints.

Faith, I hope this has been helpful. If you have any other questions as you continue planning your vacation, please know you're always welcome here at planDisney! We love making the magic happen!

    Bon Appétit,
