Michelle,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
No, you do not have to use a theme park admission to travel from the front of the Magic Kingdom park to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for breakfast at
'Ohana. The boat docks, like the bus depot and the monorail station, all reside outside of the theme park gates.
I am assuming that you are getting from
Disney's Beach Club Resort to the front of the Magic Kingdom via bus. The walk from the bus depot to the boat dock is a quick stroll before catching the boat to the Polynesian, less than 1/10 of a mile (or less than 1/5 of a kilometer). You can also monorail around, either choice provides a scenic way to experience the Seven Seas Lagoon. Of the two, the boat will give you enough time to capture some great photographs of the different resorts from the water.
BONUS TIPPerhaps the best resort hotel store at Walt Disney World is
BouTiki, the lobby store that is just a floor down from your restaurant. If you have time, make sure you swing by there to see some of the great resort-specific merchandise.
