Do I need a ticket to enter Main St. to dine?

    Hello Linda,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to hear you're planning a visit to Disneyland Resort later this month. There's nothing like stepping onto Main Street, U.S.A. at the start of your vacation. My family always takes a moment to soak in the ambiance and snap a few obligatory photos before racing off to our first attraction of the day.

If you are hoping to enjoy a meal at one of the many dining locations along Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park you will need valid admission in addition to a theme park reservation for the date of your visit. You can review ticket pricing and options to see what suits your needs best.

Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance so I'd start taking a look to see which menu items catch your eye. Carnation Cafe has classic comfort food favorites available throughout the day, while Plaza Inn is the place to be if you'd like to enjoy “Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park.”

But don't worry if you aren't able to snag reservations for a sit down meal. One of our favorite spots to enjoy a bite to eat is Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe at the very end of Main Street, U.S.A. You can mobile order your favorite bakery items (the Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron is not to be missed) and sandwiches throughout the day to enjoy with views of Matterhorn Bobsleds and the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. It's a practically perfect place to dine with no advance dining reservations required.

Linda, if you aren't planning to purchase a ticket to the parks there are a few resort dining options you may want to consider. Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel does not require park admission and is sure to please your palate and warm your heart with character encounters available during both breakfast and dinner. I've had a chance to dine there twice before and Goofy's Famous Peanut Butter Pizza is calling me back for another visit! Storytellers Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa features Characters during breakfast and brunch, while Napa Rose's Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures offers the chance to meet your favorite princesses during a 3-course meal.

I hope this helps set you up for a delightful dining experience, Linda. Please stop back and see us again with more planning questions.

    Bon appétit!
    Amy
